Exceptional carved and painted wooden barrel lock from the 18th century. Against a backdrop of vines, three putti stand out in high relief: the first eating grapes, the second, bottle in hand, carrying a glass of wine to his mouth, the last leaning on the central opening, a pitcher at his feet. Dimensions: length 49 cm - height 25 cm. Good general condition, one of the heads is glued back on. Rare and virtuoso object of popular art, probably Alsatian.
