Albert Delerive was a history and genre painter in Lille. A former medallist student of the School of Drawing, agrégé at the Academy of Arts in Lille, he exhibited a large number of his paintings at the Salon de Lille. The portraits of this artist are quite rare but of high quality.
Dated on the back 1776.
