Oil acquired and designated attributed to by the auction house De BAEQUE et associés in Lyon Eugène Baudin 1843 1907 Eugène Benoît Baudin, born December 23, 1843 in Lyon (Rhône) and died July 4, 1907 in Lyon (6th arrondissement1), is a French painter. Eugène Baudin studied at the École des beaux-arts de Lyon with Claude Bonnefond, Marc Laurent Bruyas and Jean-Marie Reignier. Initially a simple designer for the Lyon factory Agnès, Bresson et Cie, he became the factory's first designer and opened his drawing studio in 1865 until 1896. He produced numerous paintings of bouquets of flowers and portraits. He was one of the founding members of the Salon d'Automne in Lyon. He died at his home in Lyon (6th arrondissement) 51, rue Montbernard, on July 4, 1907. In 1983, the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon dedicated an exhibition to him.
