Jean-Pierre Pillot was a bookseller, publisher and print dealer in Paris. Bankrupt in September 1771, he retired to Villiers-le-Bel from 1787 or shortly before. He is said to have settled again in Paris during the Revolution, still active in 1798. A "widow Pillot" print dealer is attested in the year VII, after July 1799 (date of his death).
