The lid is decorated with superimposed sardines on a bed of seaweed with an ochre-yellow rope border, while the interior of the box is a beautiful contrasting pink. This piece bears the monogram “GJ” and the painted number 1831 (described in George Jones' pattern books as Sardine Box and Stand, turquoise ground).

Rarely found in such good condition, we report minimal damage that in no way affects the quality of the piece.
