China, mid-20th century, in the spirit of the creations of the Tang dynasty (618-907), very pretty statue in partially glazed terracotta depicting a court lady also called "Fat lady". She is represented in a standing posture, her hands joined at chest level and holding a kind of bread as an offering. Faithful to the representation of the creations of this period, she has a very round face and wears a characteristic hairstyle and clothing. High quality production, both in terms of the attention to detail in the representation and the quality of the firing. Height 41.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to all.
