"Antique Fan, Louis XV Period “achilles Among The Daughters Of Lycomedes”"
Beautiful fan from the Louis XV period. Ivory frame (with CITES certificate) engraved, pierced, painted and decorated in its center with a cartel on a mother-of-pearl burgau background. Double leaf of paper painted with a magnificent scene representing an episode from the myth of Achilles. We see him among the daughters of Lycomedes when Ulysses unmasked him to take him away to win the Trojan War. Some wear on the leaf. It measures 11,41 inches long closed and 21,65 inches open. Circa 1750.
