Elegant and large statue of Sappho, a Greek poet, lyre player or courtesan from Antiquity who lived on the island of Lesbos. Beautifully draped, leaning on a large amphora decorated with a lyre, jewels and beautiful hair, it is in polychrome plaster, numbered 362, late 19th century, small marks and wear, good general condition, height 85 cm and base diameter 25 cm.
