Otello De Maria is one of the most representative figures of twentieth-century Vicenza painting and was a teacher for over fifty years at the Scuola d'Arte e Mestieri di Vicenza (School of Arts and Crafts in Vicenza), at the same time proving to be a sensitive artist and attentive to innovations.
The object is produced for the Vicenza Ceramic Industry ICV. It bears the original stamp on the back of the plate. On the edge of the depiction is the inscription ‘Giardini Salvi, Vicenza’ and the artist's signature. The plate has a diameter of 34 cm and a depth of 2.5 cm.
A piece suitable for collectors and art ceramic enthusiasts, combining traditional Italian craftsmanship with the celebration of an architectural icon.
