Roberto Páramo was a Colombian painter and draftsman. He was a professor at the Vásquez y Gutiérrez Academy in 1884 and later, in 1886, he entered the National School of Fine Arts as a student. His main teachers at this institution were the Spanish painter Luis de Llanos and the Colombian Andrés de Santa María. Even as a student, Páramo was also an assistant in the drawing department, which led him to become a drawing teacher at the school from 1902 to 1936. His work was mostly small formats, he exhibited between 1886 and 1934.
