"The Adoration Of The Shepherds - Circa 1620 "

Beautiful Flemish school with brilliant polychromy and expressive characters that this large oil on oak panels from the early 17th century. The panel is composed of three boards assembled in a dovetail and is in good condition. Note the occasional gaps and classic cracks at the junction of the boards. The Adoration of the Shepherds is an episode recounted in the Gospel according to Luke.
It takes place just after the Annunciation to the same shepherds and before the arrival of the Magi.
