"Att. To Lesourd-beauregard, Student Of Van Spaendonck, Flowers, Buttercups, 19th Century Restoration Frame"
Very beautiful flower throw attributed to Ange Louis Guillaume LESOURD-BEAUREGARD (1800-1885) wonderfully framed. A student of Van Spaedonck, he was appointed professor at the Museum of Natural History in 1841 to replace REDOUTE. He exhibited at the Salon from 1822 to 1869 and was awarded a medal in 1842. This specialist in flowers, fruits and still lifes gives us here a very beautiful example of his art with these buttercups in delicate colors that contrast with a darker background. This oil on cardboard is superbly framed in a Restoration frame with beautiful gilding of dimensions: 36.5 x 33 cm
