Object description :

"Allegory Of Sculpture, Late 18th - Early 19th Century."
Splendid oil on canvas depicting a young woman with a classical style, with a red vestal and in her hand holding the hammer with which she is intent on sculpting a male head in marble. The painting shows interesting pictorial and drawing qualities and was probably painted by a painter of academic culture active between the 18th and 19th centuries, drawing inspirational strength from the calm classicist compositions of seventeenth-century Bolognese painting.

The painting is in good conservative condition and does not have a frame.

The canvas measures 36cm x 48cm high.

We attach to the sale a guarantee certificate which certifies the age and authenticity of the work.
