Antique Lock Blade Gentleman Self Defense Folder Dagger – Chatellerault, Mid 19th Century

Stunning and rare French gentleman self defense folder commonly referred to as a *Chatellerault*, referring to the original place where this type of knives were crafted.

Back locked dagger carbon steel blade in full profile. the spine feturing a pump to realease the blade from the locked open position
Wonderful mother of pearl slabs  with fine floral engravings over steel liners fastened by steel rivets, german silver bolsters
Overall condition are excellent mainly considering age and type, blade looks to me to be in full profile with full tip . Up and down and side by side play in the locked open position, can be fixed 
Few pitting to the steel blade due to time but no rust, no damage to note to the handles
The knife measures nearly 118 cm long when folded and 32cm long when blade is out
