"Monstrance, Gilded Wood Relic Holder 19th Century"
Beautiful size for this religious support in gilded wood from the 19th century. Large slender foot flared towards the bottom with different sides with ribbed edges, it rests on a strong base decorated with a frieze of pearls (four missing on the left side, see detailed photo). This is a "facade" object, the back is flat but nevertheless also gilded. The main body has a central ogival window, dimensions of the opening: approximately 13 X 7 cm. Access from the back is provided by a door mounted on a hinge. Richly structured upper part and decorated with different Gothic-style pinnacles, some of which have ogival openings or engraved decorations. Last pinnacle topped with a cross. Alternation of matte and shiny and/or grainy gold. Good general condition, I do not see any restoration. A few small chips.
