Very beautiful pair of watercolors on vellum from the end of the 18th century, a French school by Joseph VERNET (1714-1789), representing lively landscapes with fishermen in the foreground and ruins and architectural shore in the background. The originality of these drawings lies in their coloring: bistre and green, with a few touches of blue and red. Great finesse of the lines, perspectives and particular care given to the vegetation.
