"Warrior Figures Conversating In Capriccio Landscape 17-18 Century Oil Painting "
In the foreground, we see two conquistadors and three natives accompanying them landing on the shore, presumably on a reconnaissance mission in an unfamiliar bay. Perhaps they are in a hurry to set up camp, as the pre-sunset sky indicates approaching twilight. This historical painting from the Baroque era takes us to the times of great exploration and sea voyages. In those days, learning something new and unknown was the cause of numerous discoveries and dangerous adventures. The landscape was definitely painted by a highly skilled artist, presumably in late17th - early 18th century. Antique oil painting on canvas, unsigned, framed.
