Interesting textile element from a fire screen, this document presents a decoration with cornucopias from which flowers and fruits spring. It is a handmade work from the Empire period, possibly a Lyon manufacturing work, this embroidery originally decorated the frame of a fire screen in lacquered and gilded wood. In order to be preserved and admired despite wear and accidents of time, this fabric has been placed in a large Louis XVI style gilded wood frame dating from the 19th century with period glass.
