"Puiforcat - Solid Silver & Vermeil Ice Cream Service - 12 Guests"
By Emile Puiforcat, very elegant ice cream service in solid silver and vermeil. Twelve spoons accompany the ice cream cutlery, the latter consisting of a shovel and its serving spoon. These fourteen pieces are discreetly threaded and leafy on their contours. Under a garland of leaves and fruits, a monogram with the initials J and B is engraved on the faces of the spatulas. Normal micro-scratches from use. The original vermeil is light but very regular. Each of the pieces is stamped with the hallmark of the goldsmith (EP, a penknife) Emile Puiforcat, La Coutellerie, 18, rue Chapon in Paris (stamped in 185th) as well as that of the French guarantee Minerva's head 1st title (950/1000). The complete set, for twelve guests, is presented in its original case, the interior covered in beige silk (numerous oxidation stains), the exterior in its original condition, damaged (missing a clasp) but the case is still appreciable for storage (Ch. Pellegrin house in Marseille) - see photos. The elegance and finesse of this Puiforcat model can easily match any refined table. The remarkable density of this service lives up to the international reputation of the goldsmith who never disappoints. 12 Ice cream spoons: 12.8 cm. / 5.04 in 250 gr.
