- Stoup, on a blue silk velvet background, lies at the center of the backsplash the christ on the cross, looking at the sky. At the foot of the cross the Adam's skull and Around Saint John, the Virgin Mary praying. At the base of the backsplash, a small cup to collect the holy water is turned in ivory and decorated with Passion attributes. The entire backsplash was carved from a single slab of ivory without insert
- This ivory piece is typical of the production Dieppoise the second half of the eighteenth century, including some representative piece of this art is the Museum of Dieppe.
