"Kusu-hemba Statuette, Drc"
Fetish statuette showing a standing male figure. The legs are slightly bent, the arms are along the body with the hands placed around an umbilical appendage. The elongated face ends in an oversized triangle extended by a beard giving it a hieratic pose. The summit cavity must have contained a magical charge. This figure represents an ancestor and was for domestic use.
Wood with a patina of use, slight crack at the level of the gluteal groove.
H: 14.5 cm
