"19th Century Miner's Rave Lamp With Sides."
Rave oil lamp from Saint-Etienne: Marked G. Verrier St Etienne with rooster. Rave with 8 sides in steel with brass rooster, closing plate of the reservoir in the shape of a laurel leaf. Rave mounted on an articulated stirrup with brass decoration. When the oil level dropped, the rave was tilted by means of this articulation to consume the rest of the fuel. Attributed to a high-ranking miner "Agent de matrise". In good general condition, with traces of use. I point out the tail of the rooster is reduced. Diameter 13 cm, height with hook 53 cm.
