Risler & Carré: Superb Pair Of Vases In Sèvres Blue Earthenware, & Solid Silver St. 18th Century.

Charming pair of earthenware vases richly decorated with a solid silver mount in the Louis XVI style.

The ovoid body of the vase is made of earthenware with a blue oven glaze or called Bleu de Sèvres. The color is superb and very deep.
The vase rests on a silver pedestal decorated with a large frieze of acanthus leaves topped with a fine interlacing frieze and a row of pearls.
The neck is also enhanced with a solid silver mount forming an openwork frieze of ribbons and laurel leaves topped with a row of pearls recalling the pedestal.

The mount is hallmarked:
. Minerva hallmark 1st title before 1973 for 950/°° silver
. Goldsmith's hallmark: R&C with a star and a square for Risler & Carré, active from 1899
. In all letters: Risler and Carré // Paris

Superb pair of vases with a beautiful frame superbly worked, rich in beautiful details.
