"Gérard Guéguéniat (1934-2019), Abstract Composition Painting 1960/1970."
GUÉGUÉNIAT (Gérard), Breton painter and sculptor born in 1934 and died in 2019 (Éc. Fr.). Former professor of visual arts in Quimper, he exhibited for the first time in Camaret in the Morvan gallery. Then he became known abroad by presenting his works in Japan, the United States and Great Britain. He settled for many years in Kersiguénou (Finistère). Refusing to be associated with an artistic movement, Gérard Guéguéniat was as comfortable in figurative representations as in abstract art. This very pretty painting, an oil on canvas from the 1960s-1970s, depicting an abstract composition is a reflection of his art.
