Sword type Pair of France of senior officer generals of staff with its scabbard, late Empire, restoration, 19th century. Fuse with mother-of-pearl plates, decorated on both sides with a motif of the profile of Athena in an oval framed by palmettes. Mount in chiseled and gilded brass, pommel in a lion's head decorated with foliage. Guard with 1 branch with lightning bolt decorated with a central flower, body knot with a crown of foliage. Straight quillon decorated with palmettes. Clavier decorated and chiseled with Mars surrounded by military attributes. Small chiseled reverse counter clavier. Triangular blade engraved, gilded and blued in the third bearing a stamp on the heel: "S & K" for the furnisher SCHNITZER & KIRCHBAUM. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings, chiseled and gilded.
