"Gueridon, Attributable to BEURDELEY, 19th Century Period" Gueridon in Marquetry and very Rich Ornamentation of Chiseled and Gilded Bronzes. It rests on 4 Slightly arched Feet, decorated with Busts of "Women with Turbans" and finished with Closed Clogs in Gilded Bronze. Some Bronzes are signed BR on the inside. The Four Sides are decorated with old Mercury Gilded Bronzes. The Top is a Marble in very good condition, surrounded by a Sinuous Astragal in Gilded Bronze. It is SUPERB and in Very good condition. Its Top measures 90 cm x 90 cm and its Height is 80 cm. It can be attributed to Beurdeley, with its Busts of Women with Turbans in the 4 Corners, in Mercury Gilded Bronze. Beurdeley is a Dynasty of Cabinetmakers and Bronzers in the 19th Century. They practiced for three Generations from 1818 to 1895. They are renowned for the quality of their Mercury-gilded Bronzes and Chasing, as used in the 18th Century.
