"18th Century Longcase Clock"
Remarkable grandfather clock in light wood, from the Collonges-la-Rouge region, on the border between Quercy and Limousin. The case and its movement are 18th century; the movement with a “cuvette” dial has a “rooster” decoration with 3 fleurs-de-lys; it is in working order, revised by a clockmaker. The door and the two sides are in a single board: the moldings and sculptures were cut from the block and not fitted. Original lead pendulum and weight. Height 261.5 cm / the head has a width of 48 cm / the body: width 32, depth 26 / the bottom (domed): width 38 depth 28 cm
