Pierre Bourgogne (1838-1904) Large oil painting on canvas depicting a throw of flowers with musical instruments in a landscape of ancient ruins. Pierre Bourgogne's paintings are rare on the market. Great precision of the line mixing a semblance of blurring, the colors are very soft. The flowers, roses, lilacs and hydrangeas, blend into the decor. Musical instruments are placed in the middle of this cloud of flowers. In the background, ancient ruins and further down a pond with ducks. Work signed P Bourgogne and dated 1882 No holes or tears. Some traces of flies on the painting. Wooden frame and re-lacquered stucco with some small accidents. Period late 19th century 1882.
