"Smith And Wesson .44 Russian First Model Revolver"
SMITH AND WESSON .44 RUSSIAN FIRST MODEL REVOLVER Manufactured from 1881 to 1913 Sold with Verbal Expertise of Saint-Étienne (PV) - Category D (e) This revolver is in exceptional cosmetic condition with 100% of its old nickel refinish, with a deeply blued hammer and trigger. The grips are genuine mother-of-pearl with the Smith & Wesson logo in a gold circle on both grips. The revolver was CIP proven in 2021 at the Birmingham Proof House and has not been fired since. It functions perfectly in double and single action, and there is no significant play in any of the parts. The cylinder lock is almost solid and the indexing is good. The chambers are very clean and the barrel has deep rifling although signs of wear and some sparse and shallow areas of pitting are visible. The collective extractor works perfectly. Overall, a very nice revolver in very good condition. It is difficult to find a more aesthetically pleasing example.
