"Small Louis XVI Walnut Buffet"
Small Louis XV Louis XVI transition sideboard in walnut. Manufactured at the end of the 18th century. The proportions are unusual, this piece of furniture is rather high with a modest width. The "doe" feet are in the Louis XV style, the low crosspiece as well. The cut sides of the front feet, the candlesticks in the drawers, the falling bronze handles are in the Louis XVI style. All these clues therefore suggest that this sideboard was made under Louis XVI with inspirations from the Louis XV style. The opening top is a curiosity, this assembly is original.
