"Small And Rare Coin Cabinet With Carthusian Inlays."
Interesting coin cabinet probably rebuilt in the early 19th century, with panels and wood made of Carthusian inlays from the end of the 15th century. Carpentry of this type was in vogue in the second half of the 15th century in a vast area of central Italy, between Umbria, Marche and Tuscany, developed by master woodworkers employed in the construction of monumental liturgical and monastic furnishings.
The wood and formalde that make up the structure, the pilasters, the sliding door and the plating of the drawers are ancient Carthusian parts.
