Napoleon III Sewing Kit Inlaid With Cieux Hallmark Case Needles Vermeil
Very beautiful little antique sewing box in a box inlaid with black wood and mother-of-pearl and brass flowers. The scissors, the embroidery punch, the lace needle and the needle case are in vermeil (gold-plated silver) but the gilding is quite faded. The thimble is in silver. The pattern on the thimble is quite faded but it has no holes or dents. The tools are stamped with a boar's head. The box measures 13.2 cm in length.
