"Small Hand Painted Porcelain Vase From The Empire Period, Early 19th Century"
Charming little hand-painted Paris porcelain vase resting on a circular pedestal, dating from 1800-1810. The purple-colored background rim is punctuated by a decoration of small antique scenes with "Bacchusian" putti in green on a white background and symbols of power under the Empire, such as the helmet and the drum. This neoclassical frieze contrasts with the gold highlights and the purple / fuchsia background. On each side of the vase, two vestal faces are represented in relief. A lovely rare piece to add to your collection of Empire period porcelain, to place in a display case or on a beautiful chest of drawers.
