"Louis XV Period Alcove Cartel"
A chamber wall clock in chased and gilded bronze after the original design of 1728, by the Marquis Henri-Camille de Beringhen and made by the founder Nicolas Le Sueur. This clock decorated with cherubs in clouds and interlacing, features at its top the daughter of Chronos, Mesembria, symbolizing the South. The dial and movement are signed Le Faucheur à Paris, indicating the hours and minutes with chime on demand.
