Set Of 12 Table Napkins - Damask Linen With Autumnal Decor - Antique Linen

Set of 12 old table napkins (late 19th century) in linen damask, numbered LC in padded bourdon stitch, plumetis stitch and sand stitch. White embroidery executed by hand on a decoration of rushes, bindweed leaves and other foliage surrounding a medallion represented by a garland of vine branches, and in which are marked the initials of the spouses. Pieces of old table linen typical of wedding trousseaux from the end of the 19th century, or even the beginning of the 1900s. Textile of a slightly off-white, with the density and fluidity preserved due to having been very little used and washed. Monograms in generous relief partly taking up the background decoration of the fabric. Old linen washed and ironed.
