Circa 1870 France Wool tapestry doily or cushion cover in cross stitch on canvas in the heraldic style inspired by the work of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc and dating from the end of the Second Empire. Composed of six boxes with coats of arms in a neo-Gothic Revival style inspired by the Renaissance, this small tapestry is originally lined with old pink cotton sateen. Some microscopic small losses in the embroidery, no stains or tears. Good general structural condition. Dimensions: 72 cm x 47 cm
