"Antique Pillowcases - Hand Embroidered Cm Monogram - Fine Embroidery And Scallop - Late 19th Century"
Pillowcases from a wedding trousseau dating from the end of the 19th century. Generously and finely embroidered on fluid and heavy linen thread, they display a slightly grayed white and bear the CM monogram in the top center of each piece. The delicate and refined floral decoration framing each pillowcase is highlighted by embroidered scalloped borders. The closure is done on the reverse side of each pillowcase using small mother-of-pearl buttons housed in their buttonholes. This is a work of experienced embroiderer, executed on a high-quality fabric. In this way, it gives these pieces a very special elegance and refinement. Old linen in excellent condition, washed and ironed
