Antique Gold And Pearl Opening Pendant

Medallion decorated with applique on the front and claws of 3 half cultured pearls in a faceted and chiseled surround. A gold cord borders the whole. At the 4 cardinal points, arabesque patterns adorn the pendant. The back is finely chiseled, and within the latter, we find a glass circled in gold which allows to hold a souvenir.
Pendant sold alone without its presentation chain.

Period: 20th century
Main material: yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats, eagle's head hallmark.
Proportions: Height: approximately 4.5 cm, width: approximately 2.8 cm, thickness: approximately 12.5 mm.
Net weight: approximately 8.8 g.
Authentic antique jewel - French work from the 1960s.
Our opinion: A medallion which will have to be supported by a fairly thick chain or a silk cord.
