Dutch school from the second half of the 16th century, Old Netherlands. Christ driven out of the temple. Oil on canvas (old relining) measuring 107 cm x 85 cm. Old restorations. Healthy and clean paint layer. The subject of our painting is quite rare and is related to an illumination: Christ driven out of the Temple, antiphonary of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, around 1528-1530, illumination on parchment (Entourage of Etienne Colaud), co-cathedral of Saint John of Valletta.
