"Paul Emile Colin (1867-1949) Bather Young Nude Woman At The Edge Of The River "
Lovely painting by the famous Lorraine painter Paul-Emile Colin born in Lunéville in 1867. In oil on cardboard, it depicts a young naked bather in the green nature who, holding on to the branch of a tree, puts the tip of her foot in the water of the river in a graceful movement of the body. A very beautiful and fresh palette of colors in a rich variation of green and yellow to evoke spring as well as the youth of the subject. Signature lower left "PE Colin". It is highlighted by a Parnassian stepped frame from the period, around 1920 - 1930, in wood with gray and gold patina. Dimensions: 41 cm x 33 cm (6 F format) 52 cm x 44 cm with its frame Very good condition. The painting is ready to be installed.
