"Victor Boivin : Antique French Louis XVI Style Sterling Silver Coffee Pot"
Sumptuous large and elegant Louis XVI style Solid Silver Coffee Pot. Raised on four scrolled feet, the coffee pot it is encircled by a wide central band decorated with intertwined laurel branches and tied with a ribbon bow called "Marie Antoinette", and neck is decorated on each side with a suspended monogrammed medallion framed by roses. The high domed lid is wurmounted by a finial representing a flaming Torch and a Musical Instrument (trumpet type) on a leafy terrace.
Beautifully crafted from the highest quality silver, it is punch with Minerva 1st Standard (.950) hallmarks, and mark of Master Goldsmith Victor BOIVIN active in 1897. This piece is also numbered (see photo) as is usual for pieces from great goldsmith houses of this period. This sumptuous and elegant large St. Louis XVI Coffee Pot is in excellent condition, also revised and cleaned by our Goldsmith, micro-scratches from use.
