Bamboo shafts end in a tailplane. The heads, mainly made of wood, are finely carved with geometric motifs and coloured with natural pigments.
Four arrows are fitted with bone points (‘These pieces, reserved for war, were covered in poison’ Cf: Elise Patole-Edoumba in 'L'archerie en Océanie', Journal de la Société des Océanistes, 1999).
