Pair Of Large Louis XIII Louis XIV Style Armchairs In Sheep Bone, Flat And High Back

Beautiful pair of Louis XIII style armchairs in walnut, with high backs. Each armchair rests on four legs called "sheep bone", connected to each other by an H-shaped crotch, also in sheep bone, as well as the high crosspiece connecting the two front legs. Each backrest is strongly inclined, providing great seating comfort. The armrests are furnished with a fully padded sleeve and rest on console supports. The seat has been redone, the strapping is recent (see photo). The covering was done with a tapestry with small points in good condition, only a small stain is visible on the front of the seat of one of the armchairs. Beautiful studded finish in aged brass. Some repairs have been made on the end of a few legs (see photo). Note a slight lack on a crossbar of the crotch at the level of the central return of the butt (see photo).
