Antique Diamond Pendant Brooch

Antique brooch-pendant formed of an interlacing of plant motifs, fleur-de-lys decorations, all openwork and decorated with rose-cut diamonds. In the center of the decoration and as a tassel, 2 larger old-cut diamonds are held in place with claws.
On the back, a pin allows this antique jewel to be worn as a brooch and 2 rings allow it to be worn as a pendant. The setting is numbered 54209.

Period: 19th century
Main material: pink and yellow gold, 750 thousandths, 18 carats and silver, mixed hallmark.
Total weight of the 2 main diamonds: approximately 0.24 carats.
Proportions: Width: approximately 4 cm, height: approximately 3.5 cm, thickness: approximately 7 mm.
Net weight: approximately 8.4 g.
Authentic antique jewel - French work around 1880.
Our opinion: This antique jewel is the witness of a transition between 2 artistic movements, the jewels of the second half of the 19th century, Napoleon 3 and the Art Nouveau style which was born around 1890. An antique piece in excellent condition and which must have been made by an excellent workshop.
