Illustrated with an astonishing coloured woodcut of the Head of the Virgin, by Aimé Jourde. The work is also illustrated with a portrait of the author in red chalk as a frontispiece, a vignette reproduced on the first cover and the title page, as well as a portrait of a young girl in red chalk, a black and red reproduction outside the text of the Rearing Horse on a Peak, and three in-text vignettes. Covers marginally sunned. With extracts from the artist's writings on his work, as well as two pages of critiques by Huysmans, Mallarmé, Rémy de Gourmont, Roger Marx, André Salmon, Emile Bernard and Marius-Ary Leblond. It contains a list of 92 paintings, 15 pastels, 9 red chalk portraits, 28 drawings, 11 watercolors, 4 decorative art objects, 20 lithographs and 4 etchings.
