Object description :

"René Lalique: Catalogue Raisonné De l'Oeuvre De Verre (4th Ed.)"
René Lalique : catalogue raisonne (4th Ed.), by Félix Marcilhac, Ed. de l'Amateur, 9-½ inches x 12-½ inches ( 24 cm x 32 cm ), hardcover book with box with 1064 full color pages
"Catalogue raisonne de l'oeuvre de verre" is a comprehensive illustrated catalogue with 1064 pages that contains over 4000 pieces illustrated (color and B/W) of the work of René Lalique (1860 - 1945).
Each illustrated piece is accompanied by the name of the object, its date of creation, its duration of manufacture, the material and technique used, the color, the dimensions and existing variants.
The work of R. Lalique, his jewelry, his pieces of goldsmith's work, his sculptures and his works of art enjoyed immense success during the Art Nouveau and Art-Deco periods.
The author adopts for his presentation the classification adopted by René Lalique himself.
This 4th and very last edition is updated with the addition of new documentations and has been greatly reworked by Félix Marcilhac who has taken into account in his work the recent research of Christie Mayer Lefkowith published in "The art of René Lalique flacons et boxes powder ".
The lost wax section, which has been enriched with around forty new pieces, owes a lot to passionate collectors such as David Weinstein and Shaï Bandmann.
This magnificent work is intended for all enthusiasts, collectors, dealers and crystal lovers.
