Beautiful Daum vase decorated with monkeys in the jungle in chiseled glass. Uncommon technique in the production of the illustrious glassware for this art-deco vase with decoration entirely chiseled on the wheel. We find a rich work with palm trees, monkeys eating fruit and climbing trees. Beautiful ovoid shape with small open neck. We can date this piece from 1926, we find the production plate in a book on the Daum house (see last photos). Piece signed intaglio under the vase, clearly referenced therefore, 18 cm high Piece without chip, crack or restoration, a little limestone to remove. Uncommon theme and technique, real piece for collector, rare;
