1878 Born in Bordeaux 1956 Died in Paris Cosson, Post-Impressionist painter, was a French artist specialized, like his muse Degas, in the representation of subjects from the theater, ballet and the world as well as horse racing. He often treated subjects from opera, ballet, circus. He was a painter of women, Parisian life, the world of dance, theater. He was also a painter of still lifes. He was a member of the Society of French Artists and obtained an honorable mention in 1901 and a third class medal in 1911. He also exhibited at the Salon de la National and the Tuileries. E.
