Consulate period - 1st Empire, ceremonial dagger with its scabbard, 18th - 19th century. Gilded and engraved brass mount. Single-piece octagonal-shaped fuse with foliage engraving. Straight scroll-shaped crossguard ending in a fleur-de-lys point. Central "escutcheon" part decorated with a pair of crossed swords. Urn-shaped pommel with rivet button. Straight, flat, 2-edged blade. Brass scabbard showing signs of wear, engraved with floral motifs and a hunting horn in an oval medallion and a suspension ring.
