The interior is in a beautiful vermeil still well gilded.
The body of the cup is stamped with the number 231, probably a pensioner number, later.
The bottom of the cup is engraved with the number EF or FE.

. Crowned P: hallmark of jurande or date letter for the year 1787-1788
. Goldsmith's mark: FCB with an ear of corn for the goldsmith François Corbie, received master in 1777, established rue de la Calandre between 1783 and 1788.
. Parrot head: Paris discharge mark between 1786 and 1789
Superb cup of a rare and interesting model with cut sides. These cups are relatively rare and very often from the beginning of the 19th century, examples dating from the 18th century are very rare and extremely desirable. The cup is heavy for its dimensions, a sign of quality manufacturing.
